    Problem with installing ppa`s .

    Hi there,

    Still at a loss on kubuntu-desktop install , here`s another issue .

Seems that ppa`s are difficult if not impossible to install.

I went to add this ppa :

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8

What i ended up with was the following below :

    Code:
    reel@BM2LTSR66RBin:/media/hd/home/reel$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
    [sudo] password for reel:
The main Web Upd8 PPA maintained by: http://www.webupd8.org/

To add this PPA, simply paste this in a terminal:
    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8

Packages in this PPA: audacious, ap-hotspot, awn-applet-radio, awn-applet-wm, calise, cmus, dockbarx, dockbarx-themes-extra, dropbox-share, emerald, exaile, fbmessenger, gnome-subtitles, gnome-window-applets, grsync, grive, gthumb, launchpad-getkeys, mc, mdm (Mint Display Manager), minitunes, minitube, musique, notifyosdconfig, nautilus-columns, powertop, ppa-purge, rosa-media-player, fixed pulseaudio-equalizer, subtitleeditor, syncwall, umplayer, unity-reboot, wimlib, youtube-dl, xfce4-dockbarx-plugin, xournal, yad and others. Almost all packages are updated to their latest version.

For other (specialized) PPAs we maintain, see: https://launchpad.net/~webupd8team
     More info: https://launchpad.net/~nilarimogard/+archive/ubuntu/webupd8
Press [ENTER] to continue or ctrl-c to cancel adding it

    reel@BM2LTSR66RBin:/media/hd/home/reel$
Keep getting the error in red but sometimes this error :

W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net trusty Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY D6B6DB186A68F637

    Need some guru wisdom again.

    Thanks.

    A simple search produced this -> https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu

Scroll down the page until you see the sub heading Adding PPA's or click the link for Adding PPAs in the contents list on the right side and follow instructions

    But please note
Repositories that are not designed to work with your version of Ubuntu can introduce inconsistencies in your system and might force you to re-install.

      Try importing the key:

      Code:
      sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com D6B6DB186A68F637

            @ oshunluvr,

Since you are on a roll right now , how about having a crack at seeing if you can solve the cunundrum that is : install kubuntu-desktop in ubuntu .

I hope `that pointed wizard hat` will come in handy.
